Fear of flying
Feel calmer about booking, boarding and the flight itself.
What I help with / Fears & phobias
From flying and spiders to needles and the dentist, a phobia can shape where you go and what you do. Hypnotherapy offers a calm, gentle way to help the fear lose its grip.
A phobia is the brain's threat response attached to something that isn't actually dangerous, or is far less dangerous than it feels. Because the response is learned, it can change. Solution focused hypnotherapy lowers your overall anxiety and, in hypnosis, lets you rehearse feeling calm around the thing you fear. Techniques such as the rewind technique may be used where they suit you.
Phobias are a form of anxiety, and anxiety relief is one of the areas where UK advertising regulators accept that hypnotherapy can help. The NHS includes hypnotherapy among the treatments for phobias. Hypnotherapy is gentle: you are never forced to face your fear in the session, and we go at your pace.
The clinic in Shelf is easy to reach from Halifax, Brighouse, Bradford and across Calderdale and West Yorkshire, and online sessions are available if travelling is part of the fear.
