Confidence and self-esteem hypnotherapy in Halifax, Bradford and West Yorkshire

Build a positive self-image and a strong sense of self-worth that holds up when it matters: interviews, presentations, wedding speeches, exams and everyday life.

Low confidence is often a habit of thinking: noticing what might go wrong, comparing yourself with others and overlooking your own strengths. Solution focused hypnotherapy helps you notice and build on what you already do well. Hypnosis then lets you rehearse feeling calm and confident before the big moment arrives, so it feels familiar on the day.

Confidence is one of the areas where UK advertising regulators accept that hypnotherapy can help. Clients have used sessions to get through job interviews, deliver wedding speeches calmly, perform in sport and feel more at ease socially. One client's interview panel described their improvement as ‘transformational’ compared with their previous attempt.

I see people from Halifax, Brighouse, Elland, Bradford, Calderdale and across West Yorkshire at my clinic in Shelf, and online across the UK.

Questions and answers

Hypnotherapy for confidence & self-esteem: your questions answered

Can hypnosis help with confidence?

Yes, for many people. UK advertising regulators accept that hypnotherapy can help with confidence. Solution focused sessions build on your existing strengths, and hypnosis helps you rehearse feeling confident in the situations that matter to you.

Can hypnotherapy help with public speaking?

It's one of the most common reasons people come to me. We work on staying calm and focused, and rehearse the talk or speech in hypnosis so it feels familiar on the day.

How many sessions do I need for confidence?

Some people prepare for a single event in a few sessions; others want longer support with self-esteem. You decide, and there are no packages to buy.

Can hypnotherapy help with exam nerves?

Yes. Sessions focus on calm, focused revision and staying composed in the exam room. I work with students aged 12 and over.

Is hypnotherapy for confidence safe for teenagers?

I work with young people aged 12 and over with consent from a parent or guardian. Sessions are gentle, practical and focused on the young person's own goals.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis is focused attention, a bit like being completely absorbed in a good book or a film. It is not sleep and it is not simply relaxation, although most people feel pleasantly relaxed afterwards. You are aware of what's happening and can open your eyes at any time.

Do you offer confidence hypnotherapy in Bradford?

The clinic is in Shelf, a short drive from Bradford, Halifax and Brighouse, with parking. Online sessions are also available.
